My last serious relationship sent me a bouquet of flowers on the 27th of every month. Our first date was December 27th.
He also surprised me our first Valentine's Day. I was in another city, 4 hours away from him, taking care of my sister's children. I was at a restaurant with my family when I looked up from a conversation I was having, and he was standing there.

there's a lot of things i could list

its the ocd in me...lists...)
but the thing i am thinking of right now has to do with time.
repeating myself, yah...i know..
but all we really have is time.
and he makes time for me. every day. no matter how busy...makes time just for me.
we both have monster schedules right now, and he makes a special time each day and he listens, really listens to me...bad days, good days, blithering days, frustrating days, ....every day. and with that i find comfort and safety as there are many days i piggy back on his strength lately.
so it his time, that he shares with me, without judgement, and listens to me...that lets me know i am not alone, and that i matter..every day
ya can't get time back...so i'm very grateful he has chosen to spend it with me

What a lovely thing to say and the feeling is mutual. Some people post here and I always read their posts as I know I can learn from them. Your posts are always like this. Your insight and compassion always shine thru, as well as your ability not to take crap
Us men are lucky to have so many strong, intelligent women here who bring everyone back in line when needed.
Now about your ocd
Its amazing how things that don't cost money have been mentioned here and mostly it's giving our time to each other that means the most. Foundations are best built with lots of little things imo.

One great memory I have is when he used to heat up water in 2 huge pans because the water boiler was crap and the bath water was never hot for long enough to enjoy a good soak. He used to bring the water in after a few minutes and top it up with hotter water so I could enjoy my bath. Thank you.
