WHAT??????? they expected you to pay?? i have never before heard of that. im a single mum and i have never asked or expected or taken anything from a b/f that was meant for my kids. my b/f is in a relationship with me not my kids he may meet them but he wont really know them till we are really serious...moving in kinda serious. otherwise its just too confusing on everyone especially the kids

when i was 22 i met and dated a guy with a child...
we met in april and i didnt meet the child til aug..
and i married him 2 years later.
yes there was a lot of planning around the child..and even when the childs mother threw a hissy fit when she heard he was seeing someone and stopped him seeing the child for 3 months..well that was hard, really hurt him..but i was there for him..and eventually over time things worked out..
only reason i give these details is..doesnt matter what age u are, maturity is all that matters, he was no less a bf/fiance/husband cos he had a child yes i had and took responsibility for the child because i wanted to and grew to love him..but we didnt meet til i knew how i felt about the man, which is the best way.
if someone had a prob dating me cos of my kids..id consider that a lucky escape in a sense..we just werent right for each other already lol.
