matthew 7:1 judge not that you be not judged
john 7:24 judge not according to the appearrance,but judge the righteous judgement

with this said why does some people
think they have the right to judge someone else
why does some people think
they have the right to criticize someone else

why does some people think
they have the right to make fun
of someone else
cause they are differt than they are

why does some people think
they have right to put
someone else down
cause they are differt from them

maybe before we judge
someone else we should
look at the mistakes we have made

before we judge someone
cause they have tried something
and failed
maybe we should remember
how many times we tried something
and failed

before we judge someone
on the mistakes they made
and how they fixed them
maybe we should remember
the mistakes we made
and how we fixed them

do not judge someone
on how they enter your life
but judge them
by how they leave your life
and they touch your life
while they was in your life

we all are differt in this world
we was born into this world differt
and we will leave this world differt
but the people who are brave
and have the courage and strength
to be who they are
not caring about what
someone else says nor thinks of them

not changing
nor conforming to fit in
but always staying true to theirsevles

maybe the ones who
criticize them
maybe the ones
who makes fun of them
maybe the persons
who judges them
maybe the person
who puts them down
are afraid of the person they are
maybe they are afraid to
show the person they truely are
maybe the are afraid to be the person
they really are

myabe for some it is easy
to do those things to someone else
than it is to admit to theirsevles
they are not staying true to theirsevles
they are not the person they want to be

maybe this world will
be a better place
if we are willing to accept
each other as we are
and for who we are

if we stop criticizing each other
if we stop making fun of each other
if we stop judging each other
if we stop puting each other down

maybe if we stop doing those things
agree we all have the right
to be who we are
to live our lives the way we want to
maybe if we respect each other
maybe if we respect each other's rights
maybe if we learn how to accept
each other as we are and for who we are

maybe if we take
a good look in a mirror
but take a honest look
be true to oursevles
know the person we are
looking at is not perfect
nor is anyone else
that we all are human
as humans we will make mistakes

but as humans
we have the right to
live our lives the way
we want to live them
it is does not matter
what someone else
says nor thinks
what matters if we are
happy with the person
who we see in the mirror

.
we are not in
this world to live
up to each other's standards
we are not
in this world to live
our's lives the way
someone else thinks
we should live our lives
but we are in this world
to live our lives the
way we want to live it

we are in this world
to help each other
we are in this world
to accept each other
as we are and for who we are

we are in
this world to respect each other
we are in this world
to let each other
live our lives the way we want to

but we are not
in this life
to judge one another
but we are here to accept one another
as we are and for who we are

Well put Z.

PPL are always to quick to judge without thinking they are to be judge theirselves someday.

Famous words "Judge me not, for only God can judge".

”Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measurement ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote (speck) that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and them shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.” Matthew 7:1-5

“But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words shalt thou be condemned.” Matthew 12:36,37

“The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat. So you must obey them and do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach...Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the kingdom of heaven in men’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to.” Matthew 23:2-3,13, NIV

I shall continue on after this essay as I have done before, but these are the words of Jesus on this particular matter. Romans 2 is a very worthwhile read on this. I shall only quote highlights below, but it would be wise to read the chapter in its entirety to reap the full content of the words.

The message of judging others is this: you are allowed to judge, but only if you cannot be held accountable for your own words. You cannot condemn publicly what you do in private. You cannot tell someone not to lie, then immediately lie to someone else. You cannot condemn someone else for cheating on you, when you are cheating on them. That is the message of judging not.

If you do not lie, then you may tell someone else not to lie. If you do not smoke, then you may tell someone else not to smoke. James 3:1 says, Not many of you should presume to be teachers, my brothers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly. Why is this? Because as a teacher, especially of these things, one will be judged according to his own teaching. A teacher must be as blameless as possible because he is teaching to be so. He will be judged not only according to his own words, but of the words he himself teaches. Whatever you say, you must be also.

Since I am writing these words, I must insure in myself that I am not hypocritical of these words, since I will be judged against them. I pray that I am living the life I need to be living to even conceive of these things.

There are many biblical passages that seem to be all-encompassing when taken by themselves, but have a much greater meaning when placed in context. Judge not, lest ye be judged is usually quoted by someone trying to get away with something, and attempting to place you on a guilt trip for judging them. Be wise. If you are not guilty of their sin, then you are free to say something as a brother or sister to them. If this were not the case, then Paul’s words in 1 Corinthians 5:12 would be contradictory: What business of mine is it to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? And how are those on the inside judged? Matthew 18:15-17 gives us a very clear answer:

If your brother sins against you, go and show him his fault, just between the two of you. If he listens to you, you have won your brother over. But if he will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’ If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, treat him as you would a pagan or a tax collector.(NIV)

"Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measurement ye mete, it shall be measured to you again."

I think that's the key right there.

It's not just "Judge not, that ye be not judged". That's an oversimplification that is often used to push unrealistic ideals.

Pay attention to the rest of it, "For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measurement ye mete, it shall be measured to you again."

Judging people on sound evidence based on what they have obviously done it not the same as just plain "judging". The real life lesson in this is to base your judgments on sound evidence and to give people the same benefit of the doubt that you would want them to give to you. This is really much the same as the golden rule in another form, "Judge others as you would want them to judge you!"

I don’t think anyone would mind being judged on the facts. What people don't like is when other people judge them without knowing the facts. "Walk a mile in my shoes before you judge me!"

The idea that you shouldn't make any judgments at all is absurd. I think that's unrealistic and not practical. You most certainly do have the right to judge who you will accept as a friend, who you will support, and who you won't.

Judgments are a necessary part of life. The whole point is not to refrain from judging at all, but rather to only judge on facts, and even then give the SAME benefit of the doubt that you would want someone else to give to you.

The over-simplistic statement "Judge not, lest ye be judged". Misses most of the point!

If we want to shorten the statement, it should really be stated as, "Judge not carelessly, lest ye be judged by the same standards".

That's my sermon for the day. grin

I think maybe we should all watch the movie,
"Education Of Little Tree"
Or do some research on, The Trail Of Tears
We are not put here to judge, but to love and treat all
as we would want to be treated.

This movie and The Trail Of Tears has brought new understanding
into my life. I will soon be ready for my first sweat. Not
something to embark on unless your heart is ready.

I don't see where anyone said anything bad about what you wrote.

I also don't see how anyone can argue with what you wrote. If everyone were nice the world would be a nice place. No question about it. Unfortunately everyone isn't nice. Moreover, if the world were heaven than what would heaven be?

I mean not that it matters, but even if all people were nice there'd still be natural disasters, disease, accidents, birth defects and, of course, death. The physical world just isn't perfect, even if humans were to be perfect.

But hey, I'm all for perfect humans! thumbs up

That'd be cool. cool

have you ever thought that some natural disasters happens cause man kind builds.where mankind should not build.upupsetting the balance of mother nature

as far as diseases with all of the medicine and technology.why cannot mankind cure diseases.maybe the are making too much money off of them.if they cure diseases how would the drug companies make money.if man
kind cured all of the diseases there will be no need for drug companies.but they are making too mucn money off of the diseases of mankind to cure them.

as far as accidents goes if people watch what they are doing,there will be less of them.if companies was willing to send the money to ensure the safety of their workers.alot of accidents can be prevent if people will watch what they are doing.

as far as birth defects goes if every woman could get the medical tratments they needed.if the woman does what her doctors tells her to do.if mankind would spend the money to find out what causes them and how to prevent them.

look at the billions and billions of dollars they send on warfare,maybe if mankind can find a peaceful solutions.if all of mankind can understand that war is not the answer,but peace is you can gain peace if both sides are willing to sit down and talk.if they are willing to come up some compromises they both can agree on.but ain't another word for war is a disagreement that got out of control

if mankind can learn how to sit down and talk to each other,instead of making war between each other.the money they spend on making war can be use to make this world a better place for everyone.

for as long as people are talking no one is getting killed and no lives are being lost,as long as they are talking they can find a peaceful solutions to their problems

You say not to judge Z, but it just sounds to me like you are passing judgment on the entire human race.

I don't like the world the way it is any better than you do. I'm totally against economy-based societies that are prejudiced by religions. I'm completely for John Lennon's imagined world.

~~~
Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one
~~~

Peace be with you Z. peace
