That is a very good point, one never sees the stats on the success rate, In other words how many illegals or children of illegals are playing a full and active part in society, how many have gone on to professions such as your example Neurosurgeon...

Here where I live there is a lady from Russia, not Canadian citizen yet, has only been in Canada 2 years, in a wheelchair with MD, someone married her, brought her here and divorced her after she got here and got into Ontario Disability Support Program and CCAC home health care assistance funded with tax payers money, is now on social assistance, does not even work. so people don't always contribute to society or pay taxes even if they entered the country legally.
This Neurosurgeon is now an American citizen and also a Professor at the Johns Hopkins medical school - a brain surgeon saving the lives of people with brain tumours and brain injuries.
I think these kids deserve a second chance.

Thats what the OP forgets...there are many that are a great success story...why focus only on the ones that dont contribute...I see many young people who were raised here come into our shop...work couple days and quit...looking for free ride...yet we have 3 gentleman all spanish and immigrants that work hard and smile everyday as productive citizens..

I don't agree with illegal immigration. I immigrated to Canada LEGALLY (I came to Canada as a permanent resident from day 1. I applied and got in) but I still think these kids deserve a second chance to correct the mistakes of their parents who brought them to the US illegally. they may be in the US illegally now but the only country and home they know is in the US.
Our former Prime Minister Jean Chretien used to say for every Canadian who moves to the US I get 3 productive immigrants in their place.

Another thing that I have not seen stated here is the fact that illegals can work pay taxes, but are no allowed to claim rebates etc. Also just on an American interview show it was stated that Illegals can serve in the US army and in fact there is a large number of Hispanics currently serving.

it is sad when people defend those who break the law especially when it comes to illegals coming into our nation to reap the benefits that are meant for those who are here legally. they come here,work,send their paychecks back to mexico and get on welfare at the expence of the american taxpayer. it doesn't matter if they are adults or children. they all should go back to their own nation and live there. the majority of amercans oppose illegals living here in the u.s. i support closing the borders to illegals from any nation. this president choose to go against the will of the people and bypass congress which is unlawful. he is only doing it to get the hispanic vote. i have nothing against those individuals if they go by the rules but when they break the law then it is time to deport them back. we have our own people to worry about,making jobs and etc. those children who are here illegally get free benefits and get to go to college for free while our children have to pay the full amount after they graduate by paying back loans. there is nothing crule about deporting them it is the law abd this president don't follow the law at all. he thinks he can do whatever he pleases. that is being a dictator and king
