Otherwise I would need the love of someone else to define who I am ...
IMO Being loved and loving is a nurturing energy that falls outside of validating and defining of a role. The love of parents and siblings is an extension of that nurturing. But it also explains why sometimes there is lack of love between people in those roles. Besause it´s not the role that defines the love, but the nurturing or lack of it.
The source of love and nurturing is within.
