I suppose if needs must, but 3 years is a long time, I don't know their situation but I'd imagine they do so because it suits them financially.

As for me, prefer the clean break, given the circumstances.

Yeah I agree with you there, no matter how financially strapped you are when you're not getting along you find a way to change the setup. Well it's what I'd do.
Maybe one wants to sell, the other doesn't?
There could still be 'something' there?dunno

well she has been going out with another bloke for nearly three years now, so doubt there is still anything there from her side laugh

as for the selling bit, its a by now fairly shook 02 corsa that wouldn't be worth more than a grand at this stage dunno

personaly i couldn't do it, i'd want a clean break even if that ment i'd be walking for a while conversing

which poses another question, how would one react if you started dating a person that was still sharing a car, or any other bolongings for that matter, with an ex? dunno

By other belongings if you mean like her clothes dunno I'd be gone like a thief in the night laugh
Ah don't think the car sharing would bother me, not initially anyway. If we got serious then I'd foresee me bringing it up. Ex's are ex's for a reason. I understand when there's kids involved in many cases there's going to be a link there between the two, but really, that's as far as my link goes so it's what I'd expect from a future partner.

I'd spray some WD40 on the brake discs the day she was using it...then I'd tell her have a safe journey and wear your seat beltgrin
