My first husband and I were there many times. We used to go and buy things as well as booze, because it was cheap. But, a few times we were not old enough, so they would make us give it to them or go back in and get our money back. But, by the time we were leaving it was getting dark. And uh, well, you don't stay after dark. Kat
While it has always been dangerous, it is more dangerous now. I told you about the dead laying on slabs there. They were almost always young women. Women are killed over there everyday. And tourist dissapear on a regular basis. The taxi cabs are not to be taken. They are the worst drivers, as well as known for being hi jackers. They will rob you in a second. So, I don't know. Actually... I probably would in the daytime. Kat
I was in Mexico city once and the taxi driver was driving like a nut-case. He soon got pulled over and recieved a ticket..(rightfully-so). Then, after 1 hour for a 10 minute drive had the nerve to ask for a tip.
I LOVE Tijuana. I lived in Chula Vista Ca, almost forever, it's less than five miles to the border. I worked there for a maquiladora for three years, drove across the border every day. It was one of the most fantastic experiences I've had ever.
Also went there some nights to hang out, but preferred the daytimes there. Baja California is one of the things I miss most since moving to NE Ohio.
