Here's a few cliff notes for the uninitiated:
Down the Country there was a perceived difference between people who lived in a town and those that lived on a green field site. Town people were universally called 'Townies'. Whereas Dubliners used to just call them all Culchies and Muck Savages and Boggers.

it's 132 mile round trip for me to drive to a cinema or a get to a Tesco store
