engr4u: i am not just here to hurt any one here.. Just to take an opinion..:
as we are seeing that america is suffering of financial crisis nowadays.. Now american is not that america which was a decade ago.. Due to some reasons america having alot of problems nowadays.. US in engaged almost in every war nowadays and losing its financial strengh.. China is nowadays a fact and the strong economy in the world and also improving day by day.. Recently i was seeing a news in BBC that china also propose US 10 billion dollars to Latin america countries.. So would you think is china will be the next super power???

In my opinion China IS allready the new superpower.They have strong economy, they can manufacture anything, they can defend/attack against anyone, the only thing that they miss is the recognition because most of the former superpowers are in state of denial

China is in a very strong position - thanks to the fact that Westerners are, bluntly speaking, decadent scum. However, what may handicap China's future is their lack of cultural output & inlfuence from this.. and dare I say the lack of inventiveness endemic to the beehive psychology of the Chinese race - Most that we import from China may be Chinese in produce but, it is completely Western in creation and origin.

They have built the largest and fastest computer in the world.Their technology is second to none and the manufacture of overseas products gives them our secrets.
They produce android based machines and sell them at a fraction of the price of their European equivelent.
They have nuclear capability and the means to deliver it. Who's gonna stop them???

i am agree with you.. As for as the goods they are producing basically it was the creation of west.. Now china has learnt this art and doing it better and they are dominating in all over the world as for the manifacturing is concern. Therefore soon they also took the charge from the west as for as the super power is concern and i am hopefull that like other things they will also perform it better..

you said really well and within a few years they will be more progressed.. Yes they have alot of weapons and men as well as atomic capability.. But they never treat as a cruel to other.. When atomic capapability is achieved by any nation then it is tested in such a place which never harm people and they are not harmed due to this.. But History saying oppsite about that when super power developed it was directly applied on two cities of japan to see how it is effective and still they are suffering due to this act. It means that we can hope that china might be not a cruel empire..

Modern culture - fashion, film, music etc.. it's a one-way street from the West and I believe that Hollywood will continue to thrive even as America sinks. Global culture will retain its Western character long after the fall as every nation upon the Earth - outside of the Muslim World - has already been/being assimilated. Global diversity is an historic concept.
Their technology is second to ours - you still buy a German car if you can, the universities are still better here etc... I'm aware China can innovate but what I don't see is many Eureka moments - didn't they discover gunpowder then use it in fireworks for years? And please don't read any Humanitarian reasons for this, China has an incredibly bloody history.
I'm not saying they're not the next superpower, they definitely are but, will they reach the heights that we once did? I'm sceptical.
