The extent of my gaming anything is I have a gameboy advance that I bought for when I was traveling across country and when I was babysitting I don't know how people can put themselves through that especially with all the problems they were talking about having with them!
The only one I want is the DDR thingy,(It's actually suppossed to be a GREAT workout!) but I don't want to go out and get a game system just for that one game, plus I would want the dance pad and I know me so I would want a really good one, that's too much money for one game!
Ok every true gamer knows to never buy a new system when it comes out, so all the bugs and such will be fixed. Always wait for a year to go by, and by then good games would have come out, and the price would be lower.
Meanwhile, I will be playing harvest moon on my DS, the cows need tending in it.
I agree, never get a first release run of a system - let's take the X-Box for example... also known as the firestarter.. it was burning carpets due to heat issues that weren't anticipated. Nothing like burning your carpeting to shreds, what a way to spend Christmas morning.
Sure it has Blue Ray, hi-def, CD, DVD, and games, but yanno, I'm still trying to catch up to TiVo, so it will be a looong time before I get hi-def or bluerays.
Yeah I just got the xbox 360 and it will be a long time before I buy anything else also! But I have to say it's very nice, gaming has really come a long way. I am still very curious about the Wii though. I would love to try their tennis game.
Any have a clue as to who has a bid on the holographic DVD drives they're testing in China? I've been trying to get info on the game designers to see who's going to run wild with it, but it's pretty much sealed in that respect. The drives are currently running 15k a piece, but are still very new. The new/special DVDs for it can hold 20x the normal data, due to the layers it burns at.
Same old, same old as to when any new platform gets released. Everyone goes a little bonkers. I waited 2 years after release before I bought PS2. I'll probably do the same with PS3. By then the price will drop by about 50 percent or more.
1) Yes it is... Ive played both on home systems and in arcades... FUN game.
2) Yes, that is alot of money, especially when you concider a good controller for it (it needs a custome one) is often over half the cost of the system (the games are primarily on PS2 only)
well in the uk there is a 3month witinglist for the ps3 and it costs upwards of 450 why bother getting one of those when you get the new nintendo wie for 170. i know sony isthe best for gaming in these times i go for value for money and the wie is just that.

Or the insanity about getting one about now?
Time to rant, people.
