According to the Essenes early scriptures, women were deacons, priests and led congregations in the early church. But hypocracy is no big surprise in modern christianity. Are you truly shocked by this? There is no other organization as out of touch with reality and the modern world than organized religion IMO

Sorry but I may have misled by my posting but I have no interest in 'Man made Religions' at all. I was just aware that in a world where 'Equality' is such an issue these days, that a 'Business' like the church doesn't practice what it supposidly, preaches.
I realise that religion, to many, is a personal thing and so it should stay as such.
I stopped believing in fairy stories when I was told that it was 'Daddy' that put the pressies under the tree so please don't waste your time spouting off to me about the workings and purpose of the church.
