We begin.
Life is wonderful
and worth living.
You gave up on me
because you found
what a monster
that I was.
We take a break.
We begin.
Life is wonderful
and worth living.
I gave up on you
because I found
what a monster
that you were.
We take a break.
We begin.
Is there no end
to beginning?
Why must I go
through hell
to find heaven?
We end at
the beginning.

Strangers in a strange land

I can nuture you if you will nuture me.
I can give to you if you can take from me.
I can take from you if you will give to me.
I can be strong for you if can be weak for me.
I can be weak for you if you will be strong for me.

We come into this world completely stupid
but who is there to guide us?
Is there no guide to help
find our teacher?
We trudge through mire
of our own ignorance.
We track it on the carpet
of our life and we smear
it on others so that they
can mix it with their own.

Is there no language that we can share
to try to understand each other?
Strangers we meet in the dark
and greet each other with ourselves.
We grope in the darkness
trying to find the light.
We stumble and meet a friend.
We walk blindly together.

We wonder why is this
friend different than
the strangers.
How did this happen
and can we make it
happen again?

I took a trip in my head

I looked into my head
because I was unsure
of what I was thinking.
I saw all these thoughts
like bubbles floating.
They were in different
stages of growth,
some newborn,
some mature,
and some very
ancient.
I tried to touch one
and it popped
but I can't remember
what it was.

Thank you, it feels so good to get it out where it can heal. I hope you are recovering without too much pain. I know the pain is necessary but the misery is optional. Roy

A very good constructive way to heal, it is true.
Nahh, shot pain is only temporary..steroids just make you feel yucky, lol. But, took a big amount of pain and swelling away...worth it...Just hate the stuff...
Misery? heh heh heh
What? No, doom and gloom and agony on me....No self- puty? No woooooees is me?
hehehehe...Only misery I like is Stephen King's...
Had a good one, I hope?

I just came to a decision today after much soul searching that I deserve the right to love anybody just as much as I want. Love isn't a loaded gun to be fired at anybody. Love that is empty is worthless. I am full of love right now and I don't think that threatens anybody. I have conquered a lot of my demons. I am worthy of love and it feels really good. Love comes to those who wait. My problem is I am tired of waiting. I want the one who is right for me. I searched more today and found that I can't make anybody love me who doesn't love me. Waiting sucks but so do vacuum cleaners. (:

I did that a few years ago...
Just be careful. They do not publish for free, so look around. poetry.com will put your poem in a book if chosen. Mine was. But, you have to buy the book, lol.
You option. It will get it read on the site...

Each morning when I awake
I want to ask you for your help
to guide me through the day.
Each night before I sleep
I want to say thank you.
For opening my eyes to the truth
and setting my captive free.
Help me to see that
I can't do on my own
and need help for the recovery.
I thank you for my addiction
for it allowed me to accept
myself and know I am not alone.
That I am just a person
who walked blindy upon a path.
Sometimes I hurt others
unknowingly for my
ignorance was great.
How many friends did I lose
who tried to help me reach
out and set my captive free?
How many times did I lie
to myself and choose to
not see the truth?
I thank you for my addiction
because it helped me
to see I need you so
and that you needed me.
Each day is a new beginning
to see the truth that I am
not alone and to know truth
is to know the only way
I can live in the beginnings.

A tribute to Stephen Kings, "IT"

The Unwritten Book Of Eve "IT"
by RainbowSlider

Once upon a time there was this big mud ball.
And on the big mud ball was a little mud ball.
The little mud ball became known as Adam.
Adam named things and said, "Hi, I'm, Adam".
Adam talked to things and called them names.
Adam would hear this voice and play games.
This voice told Adam that it was his friend.
It kept Adam from being lonely to the end.
The voice said Adam was from the mud ball.
It told Adam to name things big and small.
Adam decided he was alone on the mud ball.
He really didn't like that feeling at all.
One day he woke up and found something new.
He never seen "IT" before and named "IT", too.
He pointed right at and said, "You're Eve".
"IT" said, "Yeah, whose says, I am Eve".
"IT" terrified Adam because "IT" talked back.
Adam asked the voice to please take "IT" back.
The voice said no; You are stuck with "IT".
Adam asked, "But what do I do with "IT".
The voice said "IT" is a present deal with "IT".

She was real short, fat and chubby
and she reminded of a Teletubby
but I liked the way she called me hubby
even though our house did look grubby.

She was real loud, disturbed and slow
and she loved me so much I know
but I have had to just let her go
even though our love still grows.

She was honest, prideful and mature
and I tried to understand her nature
but now I see her as a great teacher
even though she could really lecture.

She was a friend, confidant and lover
and like her I will not find another
but part of her is still with me I discover
even though she is not under my cover.

She was a girl, a woman and a lady
and the best thing for me, maybe
but at times she drove me crazy
even though her memory is now hazy.
