Just a quick question for the ladies...
Do you ever initiate contact with someone whoms profile you have read and seem interested in??
Or would you look at the profile then leave it up to the guy to write you, knowing you have been checking him out?..

I do yes, why not, no point being here and just waiting for someone to contact you. IMO if you look at a profile and dont contact the person then you are not interested, same goes for guys who view my profile and dont contact me.
99% of the time people dont reply but sure thats life.

Seems like the majority of profiles I view finds me out of their desired age range, they smoke, have small children, or want children. Why bother someone who is obviously incompatible?
I do occasionally contact men, but rarely get a reply.

Yes I do some prophiles are so interesting that I often feel I would like to get to know the person. Can't see it as a problem.

I have contacted people in the past, maybe because their profile had me piddle myself laughing, but certainly with no expectations other than maybe a wee exchange of banter to pass the time of day.
If you want to make friends, or even develop romantic liasons, contact through the forums seems a lot less artificial to me. I've made first contact probably with hundreds of people over the forums, either by responding directly to their posts, and/or by private mail in relation to a post.
I'm really rather cyber sociable at times.

Yes, I do initiate the conversation, and as what one poster said only a few reply. Well, that's life. Better to do something than just looking, waiting and doing nothing.
