As I lived in the UK
I made sure of travelling as
much of it as possible.
The north of England is definitely
worth a visit. Gateshead, Newcastle
Durham super folks, see where the
famours STephensons rocket was made
in Darlington. applause
Scotland has the most stunning scenery
seen most of it.
Wales Tenby, Harverfordwest, Conwyn Bay,
St.Clares and so many more great spots.
East side Yorkshire will go again to
Yorkshire Scraborough, Whitby where you
can see the Abbey supposed to be the home
of Dracula great even though fenced off now.
East Anglia Lincolnshire, to Great Yarmouth
great for driving all flat.
South London, not my fav place.
Now I beat the M20 M25 and M40 each time I go
to visit and have spent time in Dover which
does indeed have the white cliffs.
The Midlands great for shopping but gone down
hill a bit now. Much cheaper than the south.
I am one of the lucky ones did get to cover a
good amount of the country.
wave applause

Impressive list sailfree.. Good on you. I know that abbey at Whitby but didn't know the story it is supposed to be the home of Dracula. Glad I was there during the daytime grin I want to revisit Cornwall sometime if the weather improves...laugh handshake

I don't know if Southern Ireland counts but I think having been there, Slea Head on tip of the Dingle Peninsular, the gap of Dunloe and the five lakes in County Kerry, and the Cliffs of Moher in County Clare all take a lot of beating. uk

Yes okay, why not, not going to get geographical about borders. It's a travel experience not so far away. Not been to that part of Ireland - yet! Only seen the North. cheers

Good on ya Essjay. I like this idea of renting a cottage near a beach and have been around some of the coastline in the North. Getting back on the ferry was another matter due to stormy weather. Think it will be a flight next time. handshake
