Yes, but melancholy for lots of past "if's" does not get you forward.
If our cat was a cow we would have fresh milk every day.
Somethings are better left where they fell, in the past.

Yes, probably not in the exact way that you did but I have seen the fall of the domino too many times that I found myself wondering if I will ever see another start.

just an afterthought, some things from the past, bagage, one has to be able to recognise it for what it was and give it acknowledgment it deserves before one can lighten its load.

Yes, I have and after a while, I saw things differently. You will be amazed at what time can do to you and how it can open your eyes if you really want to learn. The thing is by then, you can stop the dominos from falling. Yes, it takes a lot of effort, but it is worth the hard work. Living in the "what-if" world does not help a bit. You cannot undo the past, but you can do the present and the future. What is life without some challenges?
