There are an awful amount of people in the same position as you, and nobody is coming up with a solution.
Normal everyday Joe soaps who borrowed beyond their means and cannot afford the repayments.
I suggest a change to mortgage/loan repayments.
At the moment the lenders are crucifying people with repayments they cannot afford over a set time period.
My solution is to double the repayment period, resulting in the mortgage holder paying roughly half their current monthly repayments
When the person in debt dies, whoever inherits their property takes over the repayments, or alternatively, the bank can sell their assets and clear the debt.
The person in debt will have a few bob in their pocket, they can afford to buy goods and put money back into the economy.
We need to take a common sense approach lads, common sense.
sorry to hear about this ,i dont know your full story , but if you are unemployed , sign on , put your name on the local authority housing list and get a letter from your doctor reccomending that you are in need of housing..it worked for me , i now have my own home and all for 32.20 a week..
