Why do people get angry? (23)
Maybe I'm missing something but when a guy asks me in his very first communication with me to: text him, call him, or send something to him at personal e-mail address, I don't do it. I'm polite when I explain that it is for my safety. They get very angry about it. This has happened more than once. Are these people just jerks or am I unreasonable to want to keep my private information private?[/quot

My reasoning is that if someone is truly interested in another, they will be respectful to take the time and energy it requires to get to know someone without pressuring them into something that they are not comfortable doing. There is absolutely no reason to correspond off-site until you decide to pursue things further.
