jono7: my mom was a seamstress, so learned to sew early on. while i used to sew a lot, i rarely find the time for it now. but i do enjoy finding something retro and redesigning it.
and for conrad...i also took a welding course...

Freeandlooking: How many of you can sew a good stitch?

I can do most things, but when I catch something which I could sew, I leave it as it looks so bad I might as well buy another clothing item. This made me think, what advice can you give to someone who admits to not sewing. Is there a knack to it?

we must have some tailors amongst the community?
I can sew a little and truly would like to learn more, but it takes time to practice and also helps to have a good teacher. I think as with anything, its something that can definitely be learned ... so if its your desire, take some lessons.
