Ladies Who Wear Rings (40)

Mariannette: MD used to work with someone who was married and if he was out on the pull he would make sure to have his wedding ring on, then apparently it was obvious that he wasnt looking for more than a fling!!!

A certain honesty there. ireland Of course they'd be plenty of home wreckers to oblige him I bet. grin

to a lot of people these days being married means nothing if they encounter someone they really fancy , but if i do see a lady i find attractive to me and tis not always looks attraction works in lots of different ways first thing i look for is a ring and for me thats a big no go area if its obviously a commitment ring of some sort..

Am not sure I have any "fight" debate left in me....but really!!!!!
Is it just women you see as "home wreckers"?

MADDOG69: You might notice a difference out and about losing the ring on that finger. I'm not joking either. I think every girl in the country from the time she's been a teenager always looks to the 4th finger 1st if she fancies a fella. Lads sometimes are a bit more stupid and forget sometimes. Becomes more of an issue as the target women get older.

I would like to say I couldn't care less but lately I've developed an itch that may need scratching laugh devil so I might try your technique soon grin
I should probably superglue my mouth shut too though as men tend not to like funny intelligent women laugh

had engagement ring for 13 years..wedding for 11 and when i took them off..the marks were there..through 3 pregnancies and finger size changing..my finger looked weird my mother gave me this big silver and amethyst ring which i wore cos the marks were screamingly obvious...

2.5 years later ive taken the silver thing off...the size of it kinda smoothed out the skin..and a bit of lost weight helped theres 2 like wrinkes across that finger..ill prob have them forever..but the skin and size is all kinda same

long boring description i know of why i wore a ring on that finger..even when single.

with regards to men and rings..men chat up married women more if they are looking for a quickie...

there4u80: Why do single women insist on wearing a ring on their wedding ring finger, the second i see a ring on that finger, no matter what it looks like (i don't tend to grab hand and lean in for a closer look), i'm thinking engaged/married and move on and i'm fairly sure that most men are the same, unless there looking for an affair

How many women here are victims to this?

I never wear a ring on my wedding finger, though one night was out and my friend noticed this guy checking me out and then checking out my wedding finger, she pointed out to me I had my ring on it (mothers engagement ring) and I immediately started to pull at it to get it off, she was bent over laughing as the guy and others all watched me do it and as she said probably thought look at your woman removing her engagement ring, the guy went next door with his drink laugh

You like a ring, it happens to fit that finger..you wear the ring..no great conspiracy

I rarely go out without rings on, I have loads and no point leaving them in the jewellery box, I only wear them on what I call "ring fingers" on either hand, thats the finger thats considered the wedding finger and the corresponding finger on my right hand, I think rings look awful in other fingers. Never enter my head that it was an issue.

I dont agree, its simply a nice piece of jewellery, engagement rings and wedding bands are a specific type of ring not ANY ring.

Ya have to wonder, don't ya? That we have to explain this to women. I thought this was practically instinctive for most... something they almost know from birth.

Next we'll be telling them what to do with their rags.

I have always worn rings on this finger confused

I always thought that everyone, men and women, could tell the difference between an engagement/wedding ring and other rings.

Well i can only speak for myself, as i have never bought an engagement or wedding ring, i honestly couldn't tell the difference between one of them unless it was blindingly obvious, i don't like to stare either lol laugh
