Its odd that everything unidentified that falls out of the sky gets publicly announced as a "Weather Balloon" and yet scores of govt agencies attend the crash site of said balloon.
Now you would think that the blokes who sent up the said weather balloon would have already notified air traffic control and various agencies that they have a weather balloon up there doing tests and if one got away or became used up they would say "Well ok, its used up it should land about here on this date, dont worry about it, we'll go and collect it."
The short answer is:
