Is it because men are opting out or taking a good long think about relationships marriage avoiding debt and taking a step back or is it they are starting to look after themselves or number 1 and enjoying life taking along time before they commit themselves to any thing and why do some people have a problem with that ie not working like lunatics to pay for entitlements and government debts to system that looks down upon them. Are times a changing? Your views please??

I believe that making a conscious decision to remain single has improved men (and sometimes, women who do so, as well) in how they see the world. Up until recent years, not getting married and choosing to be single was seen as deviating from the status quo, and was frowned upon. (In my lifetime a divorced friend of mine was told if he did not remarry the corporation he was a vice president for would fire him. He refused to get married, and was sacked). Not everyone is cut out for marriage or a partnership, not everyone wants that life, so yes, men are happier now than ever and I believe it is because this society "condition" is weakened, and a person's marital status is, really, no one's business.
