An acquaintance of mine is going to celebrate his birthday with a huge party but there is a requirement to attend:

Presents have to be suited to Children in a hospice and Elder people in a nursing home.

Children under say 9- stuffed animal, animated book. Over 9- hand held game or art set. Elderly- a duvet or blanket for the bed, old people are always cold, a music box, socks that fit most sizes, puzzle books, neck massager pillow, or a soft bed pillow. Now you got me thinking, this is harder then I thought. I'm sure you will find something that will be appreciated. Sounds like a great idea for a B-day gift idea. Must be a caring person to come up with thiose ideas. Best of luck to you wine

Thank you Nomindgames for your advice.

The first quwestio we all did was:

Why not to donate the party-money to the Hospice and the Nursing home but then we did the math and it is expected that presents be in a much higher value than the budget for his party.

There is a Latin pride (at least in my culture) about giving presents with some exceptions of course.

Also with his action he might touch some people's feeling and they might be interested in helping these 2 groups of people in need.

One have not parents and the other have not siblings to care for them. (or perhaps they do but they have forgoten their parents).

Hi Jono

There has to be taken into consideration that if one child gets something and the rest do not there will be more troubles than help in taht way.

Those children will be happy with just about the basic things: food, clothing, shoes and some toys.

Thanks for your advice!
