Thank you benni, that is brillint advice and I shall try get to the places you mentioned hug

When I travelled in the States I stayed mostly off the beaten track. Went to see Grand Canyon but could not bear the crowds, so instead ended helping the guy who guided the mules with tourists into the canyon to take saddles off. Talking to him (he was Cherokee) was far more interesting than to watch children and adults alike chuck crisp packs about.

What long post, those few lines giggle hug

An old abbey.. a haunted castle..... *drifts off daydream*

facetowardsfront: Funny you should say that. I was onboard an El Al hostess at the same moment about to enter the aron kodesh. No cancellation due to the invasion. Them gals never leave you stranded with you bags full.

You seriously need to go out and empty them bags....sounds like they are still full and may even burst! laugh

fifitrixibelle: Couldnt agree with you more, some fantastic spots in Ireland, enjoy the sherbits

Best time to go anywhere in Ireland is off peak...no tourists grin
Was in Killarney two weekends ago and the Ring of Kerry was bliss with the autumnal colours and empty roads and walkways smitten

I was also very smitten with Achill some years ago when I went in early March

Was up at the Giant's Causeway for my 40th a few Octobers ago too and that was stunning....

Tiny if you go North check out Dunluce castle

fifitrixibelle: The Giants causeway is on my bucket list, spent a bank holiday weekend camping in Achill, all I can say is, anything goes! On my way to the loo around 2am, there was a guy strumming guitar in front of a fire log (contained in a biscuit tin) in the background, his friend was having his microphone checked out in the drivers seat of a fiat, but he forgot to close the door, so the light was on, you`d never be stuck for entertainment really...

uh oh I had a very very quiet time there....honestly innocent angel

The Giants Causeway is stunning but surprisingly small blues
