The Vampire Arises
Oh no, what is this
I was so peaceful
and was getting rest.
I gave up on life
and now I have this thirst.
I feel my teeth
growing longer.
My sense of smell
has come back
and I am on the prowl.
From deep within me
I gather up my bones
in search of a victim
to quench this thirst
in me.
I free the freedom
of not having to be real
for I remember how reality
was.
I can return to fantasy
and feel at home
with insanity because it
it is a known way of life.
Howl to the winds.
Run with the pack.
I look not for right
but for left.
For left I did
and left I am.
