Quite possible.With regards to the immaculate conception theory,there is something like 16 other i.c.s recorded in history in different religions per christianity and around the same time as far as im aware.
Myths are normally based on some sort of truth but get blown out of proportion over time.
Suppose it was a handy cover story for woman to tell when their husbands returned from war after a year or so away and find the wife three months pregnant.
Immaculate conception it is says she who cant bear the social embarrassment of those times and fear of punishment
