Not always but sometimes there is a relation between boredom, laziness, and procrastination. For myself I become bored if I stay inactive for too long. This rarely happens anymore. I know enough to get things done each day, whatever it is. Working full time helps a lot as well. The key is to have a well balanced lifestyle of work, responsibility, and fun. If I have that I will rarely become bored, at least in my own experience.
