This thread made me think... I thought and in my entire few years of being "online" I have not ever even had a woman from Pakistan interested in the likes of me. I do not assume to know why or have any complaints.....but it could be because of my extremely ugly face. Something to think about though.

Op, reading your post my conclusion is.... That Pakistan is at least 70 years behind the West, on Dating. In theocratic societies progress is usually slow.

with the risk of a short "hijack", What do you think about the Women in Greece? As in regards to dating online? (Generally speaking) is it frowned upon? just curious about this now.

inn0cent_soul: A few generations ago, dating was considered a taboo issue here for PAkistanis. The matchmaking, and matrimonial decisions of young people were often taken by elders of the family and parents.
Society used to super impose it's rules and young people were condemned, intermingling with each other before marriage.
Now, with the passage of time, call it global influence or steady revolution, PAKISTANIS are passing from VICTORIAN ERA of dating.
Almost every guy here wants to date. However, the majority of these guys strongly condemn same act for their sisters and blood relations.
You would find a typical PAKISTANI guy posing himself as 20 years old and looking for any lady with in the age rang of 18-60 from any corner of the world. However, the same guy would turn very conservative and protective for his own blood relation; sister, daughter, mother.
The same typical Pakistani guy would feel that his honor has been breached if his female blood relations would look out for happiness.
A typical Pakistani male never wants his female blood relations to enjoy life the way he wants to enjoy.
Therefore, when ever I ask any pakistani male on any dating site that what whould there reactions be when some one approached their sister the way the are trying to approach me, the majority of them get frustrated. They feel insulted and this question strike them as bolt from blue!!!

If you do not want your sisters to be approached by other guys, and want them to act like nuns, well then live in fool's paradise you people have created for your self !!!
Don't worry too much about it , those same guys don't get dates because of guys just like them . Its not just a problem in Pakistan , a lot of 30 something males in NZ can't connect either because the 30 something girls think they are smarter because the have been to uni and have degrees while their brothers have trades . So the guys get pissed off and go to Aussie where they end up with Aussie girls . A number of young men from this small district have done this .
