bungallow55: That one, little grasshopper...David Carradine.
Part of the appeal of the series was undoubtedly the emphasis laid, via the flashbacks, on the mental and spiritual power that Caine had gained from his rigorous training. In these flashbacks, Master Po calls his young student "Grasshopper" in reference to a scene in the pilot episode:
Master Po: Close your eyes. What do you hear? Young Caine: I hear the water, I hear the birds. Po: Do you hear your own heartbeat? Caine: No. Po: Do you hear the grasshopper which is at your feet? Caine: Old man, how is it that you hear these things? Po: Young man, how is it that you do not?

Thank you for these memories...you're right, the series appeal was all the philosophy and the teaching from Master Po.
chris27292729: Feelings first. When meet someone for first time and you like him/her. What do you feel??? Euphoria first, and the feeling to meet this someone again. So for me,is feelings first, and love comes straight afterwards.-
Good for you! For me it is not so simple. I respond to my world, and I feel a lot of things.
I am not swept up into short-lives infatuation. Sometimes the idea that you develop a friendship first, then it moves into a stronger bond and love. There are no rules when it comes to matter of the heart and there are only individuals, like snowflakes, (or other kinds of flakes) that make the concept of feelings versus action in the world of love.
So let posters decide... Is feelings first and action after or Action first and then feelings.

What is unique about love is that alone amongst all other Human desires defines by its absence the utterly meaningless life: Love is the great WHY. It is essentially Human, and therefore, essentially absurd.
You can say what love is not. You can list the banal preconditions love. But you can never really say what love is, the language fails us.

That's both right and wrong. You are not, in fact, unique snowflakes and the rules of attraction and love extend across the entire of Humanity. Some people attract much love from many people, and they do so for the near-same reasons wherever they go.
However, to believe, however wrongly, that you are a special snowflake is a must for the woman. Love must appease her narcissistic desire and entrancement with her own uniqueness.

Why only human? have you ever seen the look in a mother gorilla's eye as she grooms her baby? Have you never seen the look in a dogs eyes when their master/mistress dies? Love is all around us, it is nature, not a man made illusion, or romantic script!

Thanks for the laugh!
I think you are your own very special snow........ flake.
chris27292729: Greeks and their 4 different words about the meaning of LOVE. 1.- EROS = The love everybody seeking on CS,as we know it in English speaking countries. 2,- Agape = Unconditional love, NOT requiring any return. 3.- Philia = More like friendiship. 4.- Storge = Family love.Parents to children and vice versa.
Hi Chris, i fell in love with Greece, it is a great country. Loveeee it!!!! I've flowed the legend and purchased umbrella, so I should be back than.
Ziusudra: Many perceptions on this subject indeed. Aside what it says in the bible which is all good and from the voice of God. I would like to say Love has no ego to protect . It dispells illusions and reveals only the truth. It offers healing Love casts out fear. It does not judge by different qualities many seek. Love sees only the goodness and beauty in all people and things. It offers hope to hopeless. Love extends to itself. It is feeling we all want to understand to know who we are and how we may come to see our own purity in the light and face of the god we dance to. Yes love is many things to many people. There is no specialness in love for it is either freely given or not at all. Love sees the darkness in us all offering us the light of choice to walk in its light or let's us blindly make our own choices. Love can be all the warm fuzzy feelings we get when feel connected to each other. Nevertheless until we learn the truth of ourselves we may never experience love as it was meant to be.
like this :"Love has no ego" and "reveals only the truth"
love is not blocking out guys based on their region, colour of skin or social status.love is giving everybody a patient hearing and making your choice, love is not making people a cultural cliche'...........
