Hi there mnowsa, I appreciate what you speak in part. And if this you speak, "So, perhaps, we will never know what it really takes to have a successful relationship. In fact, i will even dare to say that even those people, who claim to have a successful relationship, don't even know themselves for sure. Instead, it is just there and coming from another dimension of life. Call it karma or Godly gift...."... be this of a truth, then we must ask the question and define, what is a successful relationship? As well as what does the author of the OP mean by a "successful relationship?"
We know that experience is the best teacher for most learning. Therefore, when looking at those in what we perceive or know as having a successful dating relationship, we find that it always leads to marriage. You will also find those who are in what we perceive to be, and know as being a successful dating or marriage relationship, we find they have been married for over 50 or 60+ years, and have endured the good times of life with the bad times of life.. and when asked, each partner will tell you their marriage lasted because of a willingness to sacrifice self (humility) for their mate. Selfless in giving up their own way to benefit the other out of love. Yes, such love is a gift from God, but a person must also be willing to cultivate that gift of love and spend time weed-eating around their rough edges and prune back the branches, and digging up and turning over the soil of their heart in order to produce a greater harvest of love. By mere definition of the word successful let's know something about what it means to have a successful relationship not only with others/mate/ or in a marriage, but a successful relationship starts with a relationship with our own inner-self.
