chatonlyman2: The ex has come over 3 times in the last 8 years. The first time she told me that she thinks about me everyday.I told her to leave.
I was nice to her the next 2 times and she even bought me a gift last recently and she asked for a hug and I gave her one but after what she did to me I still have Not forgiven her but she doesn't know that.
maybe you the best she ever had ! guess it hard when you lose a good thing as they say you never know what you have on till its gone !!cheers

Is there a fine line between love and hate?

There is something called forgiveness, and an understanding that we humans change and not all things last forever. stuck

Yes, it would be good to get to the "friendship" level, especially if you have a kid in common.
If there are no kids, and the other person did hurt you badly - why to bother? It will never be real friendship if there were such negative emotions.

redo416: do you think its a good idea to be friends with your ex ??

If you still get on, then why not? As long as both parties are aware that friendship is all that's on offer, there's no problem with it.

I'm still friends with a couple of my exes.
