danieljosh: hi friends (i hope)is it just me or does there seem an underlying nastiness

in some people`s comments

love the humour and discussions

sometimes feels some people go to far and seem more
interested in upsetting people or just having a nasty
dig

lets keep the good feeling and good banter going and
leave the bad stuff else where

let me know if anyone else agree`s or it just me

i have mixed views on this...

sure...i like the banter, and love the humour...all that feel good stuff.cswelcome

on the other hand, where is your 'too far', or my 'too far, or another poster's 'too far'?

often i have seen a poster overreact to a comment intended to be humorous because they didn't understand it, or were not familiar with cs friends teasing each other, all tossed into an international basket of varied cultures and protocols. so when, again, is that 'too far' of yours...?....laugh

i have also seen comments intended to disrupt, create havoc, or insult. at those times, i find that the threads often become much more informative regarding the poster of the negativity than anyone else, and that facilitating an easy dismissal or disregard for their views becomes possible.

engaging in the negativity is an option....yanno... dunno

sooo....do we encourage folks to be themselves and hopefully find someone who adores them for who they are...
or..
shall we all focus on the lowest, shortest, most intolerable parts of ourselves to create forums where any real dialogue is traded in for the status quo?

JeanKimberley: awwww sweet Daniel, especially when sporting your mermaid costume, which I am still waiting to see..... Halloween is soooooo far away.

I think it is cyclical - up and down on the sense of humor and the trends going on in our various countries, and of course the political threads and religion and philosophy threads can send some folk onto a rant or two.

I'm trying to stick to the picture threads.... and I am awaiting you to post a really fabulous discussion about life, love and joy.

I'm waiting..... also if you can do it in a Scottish accent I would be ever so grateful!

Hi I mostly just read threads that interest me but I guess the thing is that in real life we can choose who we associate with whereas on a public site it's open slather wine
