Jeremy Clarkson will be returning to the BBC far sooner than expected.
BBC bosses announced they are to allow a forthcoming episode of 'Have I Got News For You', which is to be hosted by Clarkson, to air.
The former 'Top Gear' presenter will record an instalment of the show, which will then be broadcast on BBC2 on April 24.
A spokesperson for the broadcaster said: “Jeremy's contract has not been renewed on Top Gear but he isn't banned from appearing on the BBC.”
Jimmy Mulville, the former TV star who owns Hat Trick, the company which makes 'Have I Got News For You', had said that he hoped the planned show would go ahead at the Broadcasting Press Guild last month, in the middle of the 'Top Gear' furore.
He joked at the time: “Maybe we will get the producer on so he can hit Jeremy Clarkson live on television
The problem with the BBC is they don't have any revenue to lose from advertisers, so they believe they can please themselves, and it seems has the backing from the Prime Minister. The sooner they lose tax payers money the better.
