Ocee102: I don't deal well with the absence of sun.I try to get outside alot(but I'm not really built for the cold. ), and take vitamin D.

I took Vit D in Filand where you get a lot of darkness, I had to buy the Vit D but got a large discount being registered with Kela..Of course in the UK it is free.(Vit D)

Light lamps are recommended but are quite expensive.

Light therapy???
Not needed in this part of the world.
Sunshine for at least 9-10 hours during winter.
abcWOMAN: If you’re living in northern Europe or elsewhere, where the daylight is decreasing for every day this time of the year, you might feel sometime tired. Less daylight or “short days” can make people tired. Around Christmas we have around 2 hours of daylight here in northern Scandinavia. D- vitamin is added in our groceries, milk etc.How do you handle the dark days?

Have you ever tried light therapy?

Please share your experience.

Thank you tomcatwarne, mollybaby, Ocee102, felixis99, pat8lanips, chris27292729, lifeisadream and unlaoisedn for your inputbouquet. I realise I can’t maintain a thread! I’m sorry about that, too busy life in real life I guess.

Welcome back unlaoised hug and yes lifeisadream handshake I live in a place with almost 6 months winter, but I wouldn’t change it, I rather take D and will give light therapy a try, perhaps a trip to the sun later.

Happy Halloween to all CS members!!
cheers bouquet

Thank goodness we have enough of sunshine during the winter, it's the cold that makes me feel bad. I wish I could hibernate... snowed in
