snowlynx: Funny how 'republicans' always get aggressive! There's a lesson in that, for those bright enough to grasp it.

Who said I was a Republican ? you assumed that,I'm Irish and not aligned to any poilitical party or a member of any Party in Ireland.

Your last comment shows an ignorance to debate also in reference to "Scoundrel"

A scoundrel to me is a person who does not want his own Country United and also hides his identity like a thief in the night.

First of all I never said anything about a scoundrel, that was another contributor.

secondly my country is already united.
Finally you are right in saying you aren't a republican, you're an ultra-nationalist, like the BNP in Britain or the other far-right parties in Europe. Like them you are obsessed by the idea of territory rather than people, you think everyone who disagrees with you is a traitor and you're full of race-hate.

You haven't answered one single point I've made on here, all you've done is attack me, you play the man and not the ball, well if you insist on that then what can I do except do the same?

I have no hesitation in banning the troll known as Snowey from this thread.

He who excludes his own Country men and then crys victim like a coward is not welcome with his twisted logic on my thread "United Ireland"

This thread was designed to be inclusive with proper debate, not for trolls to twist peoples views in there hopes of dividing Irish People.

Your excluded Snowey just like Irish people are excluded because of people like you.

Jay, the suggestion of a United Ireland agitates a large section of the Unionist community. This is the main stumbling block in achieving a goal that the majority of Irish people want. How do you and other posters suggest we could convince the anti-United Ireland Unionists to agree to a United Ireland?

Yes I agree Stan, its a long road and we have to convince the Unionist that a United Ireland is also for them.

The issue there of course is that they would no longer be Unionist, its along road for sure.

Other than that it stipulates in the Good Friday Agreement that when the majority of people in the Nort of Ireland decide they want to be a part of Ireland this will happen.Everyone including the Unionist are signed up to this.

Its difficult with out doubt,it does have to be inclusive and fair for all,but at the end of the day its up to the people in the North to decide, and then of the people in the South to also agree to this.

Its a challenge as a lot of people in the South wouldn't want this to happen at any cost,Snowey is an example of that.

Convincing Unionists to embrace leaving the UK is the challenge alright, and the only way forward is cross community integration, education and promotion of societal aversion to sectarianism in all its facades.

For a start, those parades, marches, bonfires, displays of bigotry and intolerance on both sides will have to be replaced by something that both sides can and want to participate in.

You have every right to bar whoever you want on your thread.
However CS allows people not to show a pic, that is their right. People choose not to show a pic for a vast variety of reasons and that should be respected imo and not judged, which you seem to have done.

On Topic.
Would love to see a United Ireland. However due to ego stroking by some politicians in Britain and their lust for power and change, I fear a vacuum, where nobody seemed to think of N Ireland and the consequences of their decisions. Shame on them.
It is possible the Brexit vote will lead to more ppl wanting to be part of the Republic but not enough I fear.
I do fear vacuums and fear things could lead to violence returning.

Jaymack: I take it Snowy is away to think about who he is exactly.

For the record I am firstly and above everything Irish,my reasons for wanting a United Ireland is for all the people of Ireland, each and everyone no matter what religion, creed or view point you hold to be a part of the same Country, not divided, everyone should prosper equally on this Island.
