josingleinspain: Really want some opinions please. How much time should a couple spend together to have a successful relationship. Could a couple spend only one night a week together for 5/6 hours and have a real relationship. Could it work long term if that is the only time you have together.

nice to e-see you in the threads again.
i think it's a matter of getting one's needs met (needs...not wants)
and that would be different for each of us. i don't think relationships/commitment can be defined by 'time'.
it's not so much about how much time, but rather, how you feel. are you happy? if you're not...then think about what you can do to change that (sans the blame game) as we're all responsible for our own feelings and perceptions.

Time should not be a measure for a relationship as it has been said already.
Sharing the basic things of life is what makes a relationship.
