tinkabellnottingham, Nottinghamshire, England UK4 Threads 44 PostsI was in a long term relationship in which my sons father cheated and thought i would forgive him and he was davastated when i told him to leave after 10 and half years , now he suffers from depression and has had retire from his job through it , i don't feel guilty about it do u think that is being a bit harse .i thought if he cheated once he would cheated again and i wasn't going take the risk of bein hurt again .

infidelity is a bad thing ive never done it....second chance i tried with the last partner and although it didnt work it made the split a lot more amicabil because we not goin through life sayin what if..or maybee...............

playin away is a different story me and my ex had too much respect for eaxch other even if the love had gone.........
oh well it's been 3 years and i'm over it now and ready to move on so it's all good , do you find that when your in a relationship you lose yourself and wot your about , i felt i did that's why i took time out for 3 years to find myself again not sure i like wot i found lol but i'm happy and contented now ready to enjoy the rest of my life now with or with out someone special

Men who cheat do not deserve second chances, whether they are so painfully sorry and vow never to do it again..Once bitten, twice shy. If things had been so bad, why not just talk aboout it. I know sometimes we human beings have difficulties in expressing ourselves but it doesn't mean we have to go and sleep with someone else to show our true partner we have a problem within the relationshi[p, or ourselves.
It's sad that your ex is suffering with depression but you had to deal with being a single mum, still and having to make things right for your boys..

Hi Tinkabell , Nice to see you here . Is it not a little silly to come and ask for advice when your mind is already made up ? It is ingenuous to engage people emotionally to kill time . U need some rethink there .

Why people feel the need to cheat is beyond me, why can't they finish one relationship before they start another?
My ex cheated on me. I didn't want to know the details or reasons, just showed him the door, end of. I did use to wonder how things would have turned out if I had given him another chance

I have had a partner cheat on me and to be honest I couldn't forgive him for it and ended the relationship. I knew that deep down inside he would more than likely do it again once my guard was down.
I finished the relationship not only because of that, but because I knew that if we did stay together I would always throw it in his face if we had a row over something....I feel that it is the ultimate betrayal (sp)
