Arthur_Sixpence: Yes Anna, seven years later, I was with my then to be wife when we met in the town I was living in, she was in a longish relationship with a guy who had been in my class at school... She looked wonderful....i wonder what became of her?... I wouldn't go down the 'friends reunited' route, but I'd hope she has happiness in her life, I did hear she ended up with 4 children in the marriage to Derrick (who I always remember was a very nice fella)...
I didn't date anyone else between Anita and my wife, it just never came up on my radar, I had female friends, and that did fine for 6 years...

I`ll second that, he has a heart of gold, I`ve enjoyed his friendship for years, there isnt a nasty bone in his body & he`s hilariously funnySpending weekends in Ballybunion with our then large group of friends in the early 90s.
Renting out a mobile home which berthed about 8, and had twice as many as that staying.

...to come back and find them robbed afer the nightclub 
Was funny (for us girls) at the time though....most slept with us ...some went and slept in the caves....simpler, easier, carefree times.....

Memory in the not too distant past, was a weekend away with the girls to Edinburgh....easily one of the beat weekends of my life.
...and the saying money doesn't bring you happiness fits perfectly.
One of us had recently become single at that time and the 3 of us decided at the last minute to go to Edinburgh on a shoe string.
We got there at the tail end of the Edinburge Fringe Festival so the buzz was still in the air.
Lots of excitement, dares that cannot be mentioned, drink was flowing, dancing was plenty and just 3 single women letting our hair down and enjoying life, before the complications of boyfriends/husbands and kids and mortgages.
Car games on the way up to the airport.
Fun and frolicks during the day...albeit with massive hangovers ...viewing the sights and sounds and smells of a beautiful city.
The friendly open and warm Scottish people from the airport taxi drivers to the hotel management to the bar staff...
When it was time to go our measly trip money was whittled down to sharing in 3 ways a blueberry muffin in Edinburgh airport on the way home....and back to the hum drum life of jobs..cars and responsibility.
Great times.
