to respond to your more pertinent point, which i think is not whether they should celebrate or not, but would men act, and be treated the same way. The answer to the former is yes, some men would celebrate scoring 13 goals against obviously inferior opposition. Some women would too, and some men and women would not... putting it into perspective, how can you get as excited about scoring the 13th goal in a thrashing as you would scoring the winner in a tight game? The answer to the latter, would men and women be treated the same in... yes they would, it happens regularly in sport, and often in soccer... some killjoys slate skilled players for showing off and making inferior players look, well, inferior. Others revel in their talents. Its not a gender thing at all so why make it one

Well intention was not to make it seem like a gender issue so I apologize for my misrepresentation of topic I did intend it to be which was should the women's winning soccer have been criticized for their celebration.
My second comment about whether or not a men's winning team would or have been treated the same. I personally have never seen a men's team criticized for celebrating their win.
Gender does not matter to me at all. I believe that a winner, male or female, should celebrate their hard work, and their winnings/accomplishments.
By the way, I enjoy the men's sports over the women's, not that it matters. I just happened to see this controversy on the news.
