Sethan: Depends on which model. The 02 WRX's are notorious for gasket failure and having inferior pistons, rods and sleeves from the factory. The STI's would be a better bet.Or look into the 03 "Blobeye" models that finally got decent engines from the factory. It's a fun as hell car, man... take it off roading, take it to the track.. pretty reliable and versatile, with minimal upgrades/mods. A 02 station wagon off-roader would be pretty sweet. Why do you specifically want a wagon though? And good luck BTW
Some good info on the Subaru mate, i will most likely be looking at buying a older subaru maybe something in the 90s. I think the older subbies come out with the high and low ratio gear box, my cousin got a 97 subbie for $1000 and it has a high low ratio gearbox. The main reason i want a station wagon is so chop the roof off the back up to the back of the front seats, make up a roll cage to give it some strength.. with main roll bar behind the front seats and held in place by smaller bars going to the front and rear wheel arches, then i can throw my bike on the back.
