Whats your 02 Subaru go like, is it reliable.. had any problems with it ?
I'm thinking about buying a Subaru 4WD station wagon and converting it into an off roader, just for a thrash wagon for the farm.

well my car or van says I am a practical person,, and it suits my needs , and not for driving 6 people about ,, it will take all that I need when travelling ...ie just done a 6000 kilometre round trip through 8 countries .. in Serbia I couldn't get a hotel for the night ,,hence the camper side of it came in handy, and as the gas stations in Europe have free parking free wifi and free showers then life was a breeze ,,plus the fact that I could stop and make a brew where ever I liked and enjoy the scenery was a bonus ...

edison324: which car do you drive ??? why ...well a car says a lot about the person,,
personally I drive a berlingo multispace ..
as it suits all my needs ... it is a 7 seater mpv or lower the seats and becomes a van ,,add a combo unit then it becomes a camper ,,,just a practical veh in every way ....
My car is a Chevy Classic. It is so plain I never can find it in the parking lot. I also have a Ford F150 truck with an 8-foot bed on it. I just got it. Just learning to park it is a challenge for me. Not used to something so big! But I like it, has a lot of power for the freeways here!

I miss my Sebring convertible, people in California should own a convertible once in their life. So much fun to drive. teddybear

I'm a Ford guy....2001 F-150, 2008 F-150, and 2006 Taurus.

If I had the money to buy a NEW car, it would probably be a Subaru, because Consumer Reports rates them the safest of all the vehicles it tested.

Older cars and trucks are a lot better I think. My F150 is a 1998. It runs great! I am not partial to Ford or Chevy, either one will do for me. And I loved my Chrysler Sebring.

Holden Colorado na not for my money.

My vehicle has big downside rx7 car gearbox in it which was quite a shock given its supposed to be a commercial vehicle, have had gear box problems, has small 5th gear fitted externally to the box that is troublesome.

Best tow vehicle probably be 2006 GXL straight six Toyota Landcruiser.

If won lotto, VW just brought out a diesel, manual gearbox, 4x4 Amarok with a proper transfer box, i'd have look at that

Depends on which model. The 02 WRX's are notorious for gasket failure and having inferior pistons, rods and sleeves from the factory. The STI's would be a better bet.Or look into the 03 "Blobeye" models that finally got decent engines from the factory. It's a fun as hell car, man... take it off roading, take it to the track.. pretty reliable and versatile, with minimal upgrades/mods. A 02 station wagon off-roader would be pretty sweet. Why do you specifically want a wagon though? And good luck BTW thumbs up
