im in the middle of doing a clutch and flywheel swap on my truck only to find out today that summit racing sent me a throw out bearing that isnt the same as mine. i checked out the listings at my job. supposedly the one i was sent is right but the parts inside the transmission are not the same. wtf why do i have to buy odd vehicles. i should have known better then to buy a 2wd factory lowered standard shift s10 blazer.
chevy. of course they bought out isuzu. im not sure whats going on. i bought a special order model truck. the rear diff is out of a full size and im starting to believe the transmission is too. stupid custom vehicles
There are 2 different ones for the s10 in question... If you have the short, you can put it in even if it requires the long, but you'll have a lower clutch pedal. If you require the small and have the large, you're going to have to hunt and obtain it. I don't recommend mis-matching the sizes, but if you choose to do so it's possible.
I can't say for certain who made the trany but it is necessary to buy the throwout bearing for the trany and not the vehicle...do you have either old throwout bearing
the heights are the same. the difference is the size of the bearings inner diameter. i need to see if the input shaft is gonna work with the other setup. if not i need to get a bearing for a full size truck with a 5 speed. ive had nothing but problems with parts for this truck since day one. ive worked in the auto field since i was 16 and went to college for it. for some odd reason this truck just continues to stump me. there are no parts listings for an extreme blazer. only an s10 or a t10. stupid custom vehicles
its a 2004 extreme blazer 4.3 mpi 5 speed 2wd with an 8 1/2 inch posi rear. factory lowered etc etc. s10 blazer listings stop in 03. 04 was special order only due to the new trailblazers taking over.
I concur, just peeked at the parts places I trust online.. only thing I can really find for the extreme blazer is the 2.2L Secret Weapon Intake setup for a 99' to 03'. I wish ya plenty of luck with this one.
Dang cars! I know I hate it when I put too much blinker fluid in and my blinker starts going too fast. Then I always have problems with my muffler belt and carborater chain.
2.2l never came in the extreme blazer only the pickup. like i said trust me this truck stumps me every time. ive been in parts and repairs for roughly 9 years and 3 years of college in automotive training. this truck is a freakin nightmare.
