PeKaatje: Correct, while most countries give billions of dollar's/euro's to African countries. It's a gift, not a loan, and still a lot of people don't even have a proper house with running water and electricity.
Right, and their power grids fail often. Their roads are often unpaved and one must try to pass through treacherous mud

rizlared: Surprised no one has mentioned Gold and Diamonds, Africa is famous for other precious gems and minerals too
You got it! and the Africans are so underpaid for what they have to offer. The prices of diamonds is way over-inflated

Ivoryguy: That's a wild fantasy.
The Egyptians are not related to sub-Saharan Africans and always were part of Mediterranean culture and life.
Nothing of any value to humanity ever came out of sub-Saharan Africa and, without the vaccines, antibiotics, hygiene etc introduced by foreigners, the population of Africa would still be around 140 million as it was more than a century ago.
The title of the thread does not mention Sub-Saharan Africa.
Africa is a continent.

Hindu-Arabic numerals, set of 10 symbols—1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 0—that represent numbers in the decimal number system. They originated in India in the 6th or 7th century and were introduced to Europe through the writings of Middle Eastern mathematicians, especially al-Khwarizmi and al-Kindi, about the 12th century.

In response to the words in bold ... Really? I wonder how much wealth the Sub-Sahara Africans own from the gold and mineral mines being exploited on their land? And have you never bought gold items or received the benefits of minerals? Do you not own a laptop or mobile phone? Because without their gold and other precious metals, mined in places like Sub-Saharan Africa, none of them would work properly.
The question should be how is it possible that people need vaccines, antibiotics and hygiene "introduced by foreigners" when their soil is RICH? Who is profiting from that RICHNESS if not them?
