People pleasers lose every time. The more we seek approval
the more we enable those we are trying to please to walk all over us
Placing hope and faith in people is not too bad until
we start placing a sense of dependency and unrealistic expectations on them.
Often we make comparisons among each other in many ways.
Some examples would be to say one guy has a Lamborghini A million dollar house a fancy job a hot wife etc. while you are dealing with a Ford P.O.S. a broken down trailer and welfare checks and blow up doll for a friend. Why some are successful while others are failures? Poor decision making? Right decision making? A bit of luck? Or some who are just forced to live a life of poverty and loneliness? What we don't know is how happy is the guy with the Lamborghini vs the guy with a Ford?
Being content of who you are and status in life is fine until
you feel that comfort zone is not so comfy anymore.
Everyone here or at least 90% of the population here is seeking some sense of approval from everyone
who plays here. Or we wouldn't be on this site. Or any dating site for that matter. Yes everyone here has their personal motives why they are here. Nobody is obligated to discuss them either.
Our happiness even in our misery should not be defined by others approval but by our own.
The old saying you can please some of the people some of the time but, can't please them all the time.
There are hundreds of cliches out there and we used them all from time to time in the end
We are not here on this planet to make others happy but, ourselves. If being of service to others makes you happy then by all means do the service.
We were created to learn about this world we live in. One of our most instinctive natures is to survive. Our second nature is to love and be loved. When we love and feel loved we are happiest in that state of existence.
