Fox news once again chose to ignore, deflect and distract during last night's Jan 6 Select Committee Hearing. Rather than trust that its viewers have the intelligence to watch the testimony and determine what happened for themselves, Hannity and Carlson chose to provide their own editorial opinions regarding the events of Jan. 6.
Rather than listening to facts provided by the sworn testimony of witnesses to the events of Jan 6, Fox chose to give opinions and false innuendo meant to distract from the real issue of what Donal Trump was actually doing on the evening of January 6, 2021.
Fox should be rename its evening programming to accurately describe its intent to its viewers. Truth in advertising would dictate that Hannity and Carlson are entertainers and provide guided entertainment for the evening viewers. It might be called Fox 'Not News'; or how about 'Snooze'?; or how about 'Fake News'?
By any stretch of the imagination what Hannity and Carlson do each evening is definitely not newsworthy. Yet, what would the viewers think if they weren't told what to think each evening?!
