It is time to start seeds inside for gardens. I may be one of only a few but fresh vegetables are wonderful. Never thought there was a different taste between store bought carrots and garden carrots. Even leaf lettuce is so delicious. Cucumbers are cruncher and not those soft store bought ones.

I am taking a survey as how many are planting a garden and what are your plans for growing?

Onions, lettuce, beets, carrots, tomatoes and cucumbers are on my list

We had gardens when I was younger, & we had time and the space for them.

Carrots, tomatoes and cucumbers, yes. Corn , butternut squash, simmer squash and peppers were my favorites.

We did peas a few times. They were awesome fresh off of the plant.

I am not an envious person by nature but, I do so envy people that can grow veggies, I have a black plant death thumb when it comes to them, I either water them too much or not enough or some other certain death they will experience under my care :(

Believe me, not everything started by seed is going to grow as last year radishes, carrots, and kale came up but after watering several times they vanished. There are numerous brand soil for seed starting indoors. Miracle grow seed starter is great as have spindley cucumbers growing after a week of planting. The soil is like saw dust after cutting a tree down. Weather conditions, insects, deep watering, and the amount of rainfall all have a baring on vegetables produced. However, there is great information on the internet, and I am still learning even though I grew up on a farm and still not an expert. --Plants like Tomatoes , onion sets, Cabbage, and lettuce do the best under my somewhat green thumb. --Look for online free online Gardening Classes and free classes at the Farmers Market to get you started
