Last year Philadelphia Pa. had some 405 murders for a population of 1.5 million. That is only one US city. I don't know what the total death rate is in America these days per/annum, but I would assume it is many thousands.
The point Iam trying to make is the death toll in Iraq is nothing compared to the death rate at home. But at least in Iraq and Afganistan the deaths are for a cause, and that is freedom, something many of us take for granted. I don't think I could say that about the deaths at home.
I was never a fan of the war in Iraq, but it's too late to quit now, like it or not this war has to be won.
THE WAR WILL NEVER EVER BE WON peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetttttttttttttttttttttttttttttteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. it may be better but never won.sorry for yellin peteeeeeeeee!
Well Pete..there are no oil wells in Philadelphia. Usually they are minorities in gangs pegging each other off. Inniocent people get caught in the crossfire sometimes but like I said..no oil wells.
Relatively speaking it is not a blood bath. The casualty rate is actually quite low for a war. The death rate is worse in Phila/ pa alone. And that is not a war zone.
Hundreds of thousands of Iraqi's have died due to US bombing in Iraq over the past several years. Yes, i am including the first gulf war. How can you compare murder in one city to the the US invasions of Iraq? That has got to be one of the most absurb analogies i have heard.
How can you say nothing has been achieved? Saddam is gone isn't he? He murdered hundreds of thousands of people. I would say that is quite an accomplishment.
