No, here in the UK we have a "free" National Health Service. Its not actually totally free 'cos its taken at source rather than at the point of delivery. I have heard that in the States if you have a RTA and are lying in a pool of blood, they won't take you to a hospital unless they know you can pay??? What??? How outrageous!!!
I cannot speak ill of our NHS system (1) because I work for them and (2) because they have done absolute wonders for me and I praise them whole-heartedly!
