You think caring for injured, homeless animals is unusual? Care to elaborate?

There have been a few but the most recent was a remake of the commercial where the bird flies into the window after being cleaned by Windex. Well it was night time and I walked into a glass sliding door, almost knocked myself out cold.

My most recent embarrassing moment was at work. I was building a booth with the client present. She was watching me assemble a desk. When I squatted down to tighten a bolt the entire crotch ripped out of my pants. Without looking up I told her "Damned glad I wore underwear today." I then grabbed some gaff tape and closed the rip.

I'm guessing the kittens are grown now, but how did you end up with 13 orphans?

New to the site, blah blah, trying to post on different things, maybe make friends or have people laugh at my jokes, whatever...Here's one of my SEVERAL embarassing moments.

I was a child actor and was trying out for a kid role on Star Trek TNG (an extra with lines, like it matters.)

Anyways, the callbacks came and I was invited back. So I am reading alongside maybe 4 other kids and I am hanging out by the donut and coffee table at Paramount. I see a script lying on a chair, so I am bored and pick it up and leaf through it. Keep in mind I had only read MY scenes, the ones I was in. Now I am seeing the whole thing, and I hate the particular one I am reading.

I see a typo or two, a misspelling, and some dialogue that makes NO sense. So I start correcting it with my pen, crossing things out, rewording them etc. I am like, 8 years old or so.

A man walks over to me and askes what I am doing. I say just reading the script, someone left a copy around, I'm just reworking it a little, you know. I look up. He is LIVID.

That's the master script, son.

Dead silence. I'm like nooooo. He's like yeaaaaah.

Another silence.

I look back up at him and say "Well, it should have been laminated then," and run off. LOL

Looking back I can laugh, but I was mortified.

It turned out okay. He was the Exec. Producer, and he came to me after I didn't get the role and he offered me a job ghostwriting. He liked the changes! lol I was a KID, writing for Star Trek TNG. Amazing. This is why I have ALWAYS kept a pen on me since. You never know.....
