I personally don't think you need to cover them up,they are after all apart of who you are,if someone can't take the time to get to know you,then that is not the person for you,there loss if your a good guy.
Sure,there is a time that they need to be covered up,lets say when going to a certain event,but on the hole,don't bother.

im on the same boat man alot of girls look at mine and some get turned on and some gt turned off i mean i also haing piercings but i guess they cant see them so i dont know but i guess it is man i hate to say that but the tats are you and dont let a woman get you down because tey cant repesct what you do with your body so all in all i ay be yourself

Tat2mania, I too have ink very visible and halfway understand you. Only halfway because thats not even a question with me. If a person has tatoos and if they hide them...they are hiding who they are. You dont want somebody to fall in love with somebody wearing a mask. That will be bad for you and them. If its a part of you...show and tell as long as youre not ALL about you and....."oh my tatoo...does it look good?....Is it fading?...." and so on. Thats who you are Tat2mania...

I think people has to except you for who you are. I have one tatt and plan on several more. along with peircings. If someone is too shallow to see past that then it's probably better they don't want to talk to me.

fool em! for awhile let them get to know you without the decor and when they come out of their ignorance and realize how nice you are ( if u are ) then the tatts won't matter ... otherwise well
ignorance is the cause of all suffering so we have to find ways to dissolve these ideas people have by showing them something different than their beliefs....
i get a lot of discrimination if i show up before my CV.
so i send it along a week ahead of me and ironically enough they still expect to meet a man too unconscious to see the 'a' in alexandra...go figure, but at least when i surprise them they are prepared for a formidable force....
as for tatts i dont have any but my piercings always stop em cold!

ya know it is crazy what happens to people when i put on a white coat!!
my god i could be anyone but it signifies ER and all of a sudden i have all their authority...sooo i gave up the white coat years ago and i refuse to wear it now, but uniforms in general, will do it
tatts , size, even how u wear your hair... i shaved my head because of the lice and even my colleagues treated me suspiciously.....
people are often afraid of originality they want whats tried and proven ,no risks no problems no unexpected surprises heh heh...funny how that rule has never proven to work either...
