I have read all 4 book and started on the rough draft of the 5th (which you can find part of it online at the author's website). I doubt I will watch the movie since I am always let down by them after reading the books.
my first car was a Ponitac 6000, for a 10 yr old car at the time it would go pretty fast. I also had a 96 Berreta Z26... again another fast car. If I had my choice, I'd have a GM or Jeep.
whenever some asks my age, and i tell them i'm 30, they alway say that they think i was a lot younger. just yesterday a guy thought i was 22. i still get carded at most bars and liquor stores.
imo, age is only a number, if someone feels they have to lie about it, then they just aren't comfortable with the truth, and are trying to be someone they are not.
all this crap with NK hits me very close to home since my brother is currently stationed in SK. I actually find it amazing how much the army keeps them clueless as to what is going on so close to them. I had to call him to find out how he was and that he was okay because he's had close calls before just with the local fighting btwn NK and SK. His response was "why?" and I had to explain to him what had happened. I wouldn't be surprised if we end up in war with NK... and this after hearing that troops will be in Iraq until 2010 at the earliest. I personally can not wait until May when my bro will be back on US soil.
I also was a school bus driver. I know that is the bus driver's responsibility for what happens on the bus. In the school district that I drove for, the school would not do anything unless the student/s were written up by the bus driver... otherwise they don't know that anything is going on. Also my school district had a rule that the students had to be at the bus stop 5 mins before the bus was due, so if the bus was no more than 5 mins early, it didn't have to wait... you might want to check into that in your area. (I'm not trying to say it's your fault that they almost didn't get the bus or anything like that. Just stating what I know in my area.)
i have met many ppl from online... one i waited 4 yrs to meet, just because we were both on different parts of the country... another was about 2 yrs... but then when I've felt comfortable enough, I have met ppl within a week of talking to them online or emailing them.
it just depends on what your comfort level is when it comes to that person and how fast you get to know them.
1. when the lottery,so that I can start my own specialty store doing something i love 2. find my other half aka soulmate 3. to one day have a family with that person
I didn't have a Valentine this year... not that my ex was much of one to begin with. I did however have dinner cooked for me and about 5 other women by 2 guys we work with. I thought it was sweet.
I personally believe in several different things from various religions. I never made to go to church (my family is Methodist), but did go to Sunday school until I was 5 with a neighbor. My parents felt that they weren't going to force us (my siblings and I) to go to church since their parents forced them to until they got married. I also believe that everyone has the right to believe in whatever they want with regards to religion. I haven't been to church since then because I just never felt I fitted in well.
hopefully everyone knows the saying "what's good for the goose is good for the gander"... cuz that's what I believe... as long as there is no touching or flirting going on, the looking is fine as long as he doesn't mind me looking too!
And even though the moment passed me by I still can't turn away 'Cause all the dreams you never thought you'd lose Got tossed along the way And letters that you never meant to send Get lost or thrown away
And now we're grown up orphans That never knew their names We don't belong to no one That's a shame
But if you could hide beside me Maybe for a while And I won't tell no one your name And I won't tell em' your name
And scars are souvenirs you never lose The past is never far Did you lose yourself somewhere out there Did you get to be a star And don't it make you sad to know that life Is more than who we are
We grew up way too fast And now there's nothing to believe Reruns all become our history A tired song keeps playing on a tired radio And I won't tell no one your name And I won't tell em' your name I won't tell em' your name Mmm, mmm, mmm,
I won't tell em' your nameā¦ Ow!
I think about you all the time But I don't need the same It's lonely where you are come back down, And I won't tell em your name
If I remember correctly, I was sitting at work (an old job i had) and the sales manager came in and asked us if we heard the news. Of course we didn't have a radio or tv so we said no, and he proceded to tell us what happend. At first we didn't believe him because he was/still is a jokester and was always pulling some kind of joke or trick. Well the Ops manager decided to turn on his radio to see if what he was saying was true... and of course it was. I then remember going over my ex's after work that night and we just sat there watching the news channels all night still not believing it actually happened.
I have always wondered what has made people try online dating. Is it just the boredom of the bar/club scene? Not enough time to go out and socialize?
If this is a repeat thread, I apologize, but I couldn't seem to find one on this subject.
Personally, I have never been one to go out to clubs or bars to meet people. When I do go out, I go out for the fun and to relax with friends. I have been doing the online dating thing for about 10 yrs now... yup that is a LONG time, but I have meet some decent people from it, but then I have also meet the phsycos (sp?) and have some stories I could tell... but that would be another thread....
So what made you go out on the limb and try this??
MRE... Milatry (SP?) Ready (to) Eats.... actually i have a funny story about the coffee in the MRE's... My brother who is graduating from BT this week, got stuck on an extra long fire patrol last week due to a few guys in his patrol not getting up on time and decided to eat his MRE coffee with his lunch to stay awake and got caught... luckily he is still graduating and they didn't think it was bad enough for him not to... BUT now he can't leave base until Friday when he goes to his next training base
I have never been able to drink coffee... just the smell bothers me... i can drink tea... but I have to have it plain or with some sugar... depends how my day starts out.
okay... i had to say this... George George George of the Jungle... Watch out for that.................TREE!
I would say that my past relationships have made me wiser. I realized ALOT about myself through them and am grateful for learning the things I did. I wouldn't say that I am skeptical. I would say that I am afraid that I will not find the guy that is my best friend/soulmate.
I also agree with whoever said that this way of meeting people is better (at least I think that's what he said), because you can definitely find more out about a person via email or just talking to them on the phone, then going to meet a person without ever really knowing them before hand....
